Creating Without a Budget

Why Being Broke Might Be Your Superpower

Let’s be honest — having no money sucks sometimes.

But here’s the truth I’m starting to realize:
Being broke forces creativity. And that can be a superpower.

💭 What If You Had Everything?

If I had $10,000 right now, I’d probably buy fancy gear, hire designers, run ads, and launch big.
But I’d also miss out on something way more valuable: the skill of building without needing anything but my brain and the internet.

When you don’t have money, you have to:

  • Learn how to do things yourself

  • Use free tools and find clever workarounds

  • Focus on the idea, not the fluff

  • Get good at asking questions and researching

  • Be okay with version 1.0 being kinda messy

And guess what?
That’s the exact mindset the best creators and entrepreneurs start with.

🧠 Free Tools, Big Results

Most of the stuff I use is free:

  • Canva for design

  • Beehiiv or Blogger for newsletters/blogs

  • CapCut for videos

  • Google everything for tutorials

  • ChatGPT for ideas, writing, even fixing stuff

  • TypeDream or Carrd for websites

  • And my brain (which, thankfully, still works for $0)

You’d be shocked at what you can build when you stop saying “I can’t afford it” and start asking “How else could I do this?”

💥 The Real Flex Isn’t Money

Anyone can make something when they have all the resources.
But can you make something when you don’t?

That’s the flex.

So if you’re reading this and thinking, “I’d start if I had more…” — stop waiting.

Start broke.
Start basic.
Start with what you have.

Because of the skill you build from doing that?
It’s worth way more than the money you don’t have right now.
